27) Prepositions of place (in, on, under etc.) (Yer bildirme edatları)
Canlıların veya eşyaların nerede olduğundan bahsedeken şu edatları kullanırız:| in | on | under | behind | in front of | above | next to | near | at |
| a) The lady is in the tower. | (Hanımefendi kulededir.) |
| b) The cat is on the tower. | (Kedi kulenin üzerindedir.) |
| c) The door is under the window. | (Kapı pencerenin altındadır.) |
| d) The forest is behind the tower. | (Orman kulenin arkasındadır.) |
| e) The lake is in front of the tower. | (Göl kulenin önündedir.) |
| f) The bird is above the tower. | (Kuş kulenin üstündedir.) |
| g) The garden is next to the tower. | (Bahçe kulenin yanındadır.) |
| h) The castle is near the tower. | (Kale kulenin yakınındadır.) |
Büro gibi işyerlerinde bulunmayı belirtirken at the office kullanılmasına rağmen
evde, okulda bulunmayı belirtirken at home, at school tanımlamaları kullanılır. (the ön eki kullanılmaz.)
Ruth is at the office, Jane's at school, and I'm at home.
(Ruth işyerindedir , Jane'ler okuldadır ve ben evdeyim.)
We works on the third floor. (Biz üçüncü katta çalışıyoruz.)
She lives on the fourth floor. (O dördüncü katta oturur.)
